Dem trägt nun auch der Houstoner Hersteller für Ã-lfeld-Produkte, Tejas Tubular Products Rechnung und hat seine komplette Work-in-Process (WIP)-Kette auf RFID umgestellt. Bei RFIDupdate heißt es hierzu:

Die Vorteile liegen auf der Hand:

Analysten der Consulting-Agentur aberdeen Group haben in diesem Zusammenhang ermittelt, dass die Fehlerquote in der Produktion durch den Einsatz von RFID für das WIP-Tracking um bis zu 20 Prozent reduziert werden kann. Darüber hinaus werden bis zu 15 Prozent an Arbeitskosten gespart.
